Sesquiterpenoids in root exudates of Solanum aethiopicum.
Five known sesquiterpenoids, solavetivone, lubimin, lubiminoic acid, aethione and lubiminol were isolated from the root exudates recovered from Solanum aethiopicum by a newly proposed method using charcoal. Quantitative analysis of the sesquiterpenoids in the root exudates of S. aethiopicum and S. melongena suggested that relatively large amounts of the sesquiterpenoids were exuded from the roo...

Three new sesquiterpenoids, lubiminoic acid, epilubiminoic acid and aethione, and six known sesquiterpenoids, solavetivone, 3beta-hydroxysolavetivone, 13-hydroxysolavetivone, anhydro-beta-rotunol, epilubimin and lubimin, were isolated from roots of S. aethiopicum L. Their structures were elucidated by spectroscopic data.

متن کاملIn vitro Erythrocyte Membrane Stabilization Properties of Solanum aethiopicum L. Fruit Extracts
This study aims at evaluating the membrane stabilization potential of Solanum aethiopicum L. fruits extracts using an in vitro hemolytic assay. 2 mL of blood from healthy volunteers and patients with serologically confirmed current dengue infection were freshly collected and used in the assays. Fresh garden eggs fruits at three different maturity stages (immature, partly matured and matured) we...
متن کاملEffect of genotype and genotype by environment interaction on total cyanide content, fresh root, and starch yield in farmer‐preferred cassava landraces in Tanzania
High starch yield is the most important trait for commercialized cassava starch production. Furthermore, cyanide present in cassava roots poses a health challenge in the use of cassava for food. Cassava genotypes have varying maturity periods that are also environmental dependent. This study aimed at identifying suitable cultivars and optimum time of harvest to maximize starch production across...
